This silver colored aluminum part is a coupler for attaching the 797015 sheath (hose) to motor housing. This item has a reverse (left hand) thread.
If fits Mastercarver® brand flex-shaft machines 1/3 HP and orginal 1/4 HP machines sold in the 1980s and 1990s (does not fit 1/4 HP classics sold 2005+).
